How we write and check our pages

What this covers
The templates, calculators and guides on lekhahr.in. They are written by the LekhaHR team at PAITEQ PRIVATE LIMITED in Bengaluru.
Where the figures come from
Every rate, threshold and due date comes from one dated register: the Labour Codes and their Central Rules as published in the Gazette of India, state Acts and notifications, EPFO and ESIC circulars and FAQs, and the Income-tax Act, 2025. Guides and calculators link their sources and mark each one official or secondary.
How figures are dated
Each figure shows the date it took effect and the date we last checked it. When a rule changes, the new value is added with its own date; the old one stays for the months it applied, so an earlier example still adds up.
How pages are checked
Every figure on a page is read from the register, and each calculator is tested against worked examples before it is published. Template fields follow the rule that sets them where there is one (for example the appointment letter under the OSH Central Rules) and common practice in Indian companies where there is not.
Review dates
A line on each page says when the LekhaHR team last checked it. Statutory guides also show the date of their next review, and a page is checked again sooner when the rule it explains changes.
Examples and sample data
Worked examples use one sample company and its people, labelled “Design preview · sample data”, so a figure on one page agrees with the next.
Other vendors
Competitor prices and plans are read on each vendor’s own published page and named in plain text with the date we read them. LekhaHR is one of the products compared, and the page says so.
Not advice
Guides explain the rule and how it is usually applied. They are not legal or tax advice for your establishment; for that, ask your lawyer or chartered accountant.
Report an error
